Nanette Cruz

Biography

Nanette Cruz is a commercial litigation attorney at Bogin, Munns & Munns. She represents businesses and corporate clients throughout Central Florida. As a commercial litigation attorney, she handles business disputes, construction litigation, collections, insurance litigation, and other complex civil matters.

She manages all stages of litigation. This includes pre-suit evaluation, discovery, trial, and resolution. She provides practical legal guidance tailored to her clients’ business goals.

Nanette was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. She later earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida A&M University College of Law. While in law school, she served on Law Review, earned Dean’s List honors, and received the Dean’s Top Performer Scholarship.

With more than 15 years of experience, she has represented individuals, businesses, and insurance carriers. Her experience spans commercial litigation, construction disputes, collections, first-party property insurance litigation, personal injury, probate, bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, workers’ compensation, and federal appeals.

Before joining Bogin, Munns & Munns, she served as Staff Counsel for a Florida property insurance carrier. She also held leadership roles at a multi-practice law firm. In those roles, she handled complex litigation and advised clients across multiple practice areas.

Nanette is active in community service. She has served as a Guardian ad Litem through the Orange County Legal Aid Society. She has also served as an Attorney Advisor for Orange County Teen Court. In addition, she has held leadership roles in educational and nonprofit organizations throughout Central Florida.
