Biography
Travis J. McMillen is a Partner and board-certified civil trial attorney at Bogin, Munns & Munns. He represents injured clients throughout Central Florida and across the state. As a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, he has earned recognition as an expert in civil trial litigation. Only a small percentage of attorneys achieve this distinction.
Travis focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases. He handles matters involving car accidents, truck accidents, slip and fall injuries, negligent security, nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, and product liability. He has recovered millions of dollars for injured victims through settlement and trial. In addition, he has litigated cases in state and federal courts across Florida. These include Miami-Dade, Broward, Orange, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, Lake, Pasco, and Seminole counties.
Travis spent more than a decade representing major insurance companies in complex litigation. Because of this experience, he understands how insurers evaluate and defend claims. He also knows how they attempt to minimize payouts. He uses this insight to build stronger cases and anticipate defense strategies. As a result, he positions his clients to pursue maximum compensation. His courtroom and appellate experience allow him to advocate effectively at every stage of litigation.
Travis developed an interest in law through his passion for history, government, and advocacy. During law school, he participated in a competitive international exchange program. He studied at Oxford University in England and Charles University in Prague. In addition, he competed on a national Moot Court team. He also earned election to the Order of the Barristers for excellence in trial advocacy and legal writing.
He has earned an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell. This rating reflects the highest level of professional excellence and ethical standards.
At Bogin, Munns & Munns, Travis works as part of a results-driven personal injury team. The team focuses on holding negligent parties accountable and helping clients recover physically, financially, and emotionally after serious injuries.
Outside of his legal practice, Travis enjoys cooking, reading, working out, and traveling. He also values time with his wife and two children.
