Meet B.F. “Biff” Godfrey our featured attorney of the week.
I have over 40 years of experience in law, including general contract law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, franchising, and intellectual property. I am licensed to practice law in both Texas (admitted 1974) and Florida (admitted 1994) and have previously worked as corporate counsel for Zale Corporation, TGI Fridays Inc. and Darden Restaurants, Inc. with responsibilities for commercial and retail leasing, real estate, domestic and international franchising, licensing, trademarks and purchasing.
I was inspired by my uncle, also an attorney, to begin practicing law. I listen and learn about my client’s business in order to serve their legal needs. I love the diversity of clients and projects that come with practicing law. If I didn’t become an attorney, I would have pursued becoming an accountant.
People may be surprised to learn that I am passionate about the YMCA, and I love live theater.
