Before joining Bogin, Munns & Munns as a real estate attorney, I practiced with several large Orlando law firms, primarily representing lenders, developers and landlords in a wide array of commercial real estate transactions. I also spent time working in The Villages, assisting Villages General Counsel with their planned expansion.
Originally, my inspiration to pursue a career as a real estate attorney stemmed from my love for history, and the fact that concepts still governing the practice of real estate law are rooted in medieval times (and even before). Later inspiration came from use of language to gain an advantage for a client, and the art of the deal. In fact, crafting language to gain the advantage for my clients is perhaps what I enjoy most about practicing law. I’d have to say that my willingness to work hard and an ability to craft language are my greatest strengths as an attorney.
If I had chosen a different path in life, I would have been an architect. I have always been artistic, and putting art to practical use has a strong allure. A great experience I had in law school was spending a summer semester in London and Exeter, England, studying the law and institutions of the European Union, under renowned barrister, Jacob Lasok. I rented a motorcycle for my entire visit, and when I was not in class or studying I was touring the English countryside. Was absolutely fantastic!
