Biography
Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, I took the path less travelled to the practice of law. I am not the type of attorney who wanted to grow up and become a litigator. I enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school and served on active duty for ten years. Initially I was a hydraulics mechanic on UH-1N ‘Huey’ helicopters at a Search and Rescue unit, then later transitioned to become an intelligence specialist. I completed a bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University while on active duty. I deployed to Asia and Africa, and after my last deployment I decided it was time for something different. I moved to Orlando in 2020 and enrolled in Barry University School of Law. I graduated in 2023 and received the Sister Linda Bevilacqua Award for service to the community at graduation.
I began my legal career at the Public Defender’s Office in the Ninth Judicial Circuit. While working as a public defender, I was honored to fight for the rights of indigent defendants in Orange and Osceola Counties. I handled hundreds of cases including felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses. After two years at the Public Defender’s Office, I entered private practice.
Any person seeking a criminal defense attorney is facing hard choices. The criminal justice system can be very intimidating, and the stakes are high. One of my strongest skills in working with clients is helping everyone stay calm, translating legalese, and working through legal issues so they can fully understand their situation. It is my belief that a defendant is not reduced to the charges against them, but they are a person with friends, family and a future. I bring a well-rounded background of life experience and legal expertise to every case and I am dedicated to zealous advocacy on behalf of each of my clients.
