Biography

James Trammell “Tram” Harper, Jr. is a bankruptcy attorney at Bogin, Munns & Munns, serving clients in Orlando and throughout Central Florida. His practice focuses on Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 13 bankruptcy, debt relief, mortgage loan modifications, and related financial matters. With more than 25 years of legal experience, he helps individuals and families overcome financial challenges. He also helps clients protect their assets and work toward a stronger financial future.

Tram originally entered law school with plans to practice entertainment and music law. After spending several years in the music industry, he realized he wanted a career that allowed him to help people more directly. As a result, he shifted his focus to bankruptcy law. Since then, he has dedicated his career to helping clients find relief from overwhelming debt and regain control of their finances.

Throughout his career, Tram has handled thousands of bankruptcy matters. He has developed extensive experience in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. He has represented clients in bankruptcy courts throughout the Middle District of Florida. In addition, he has advised individuals and families on debt relief strategies, mortgage loan modifications, estate planning, probate matters, and real estate transactions.

Tram’s experience also includes managing high-volume bankruptcy practices and leading teams of attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff. Before joining Bogin, Munns & Munns, he owned and managed several successful law firms throughout Central Florida. These firms included the Law Offices of James T. Harper, Jr., P.A., Harper & Ogden, LLC, and Harper, Ogden & Bess, LLC.

Most recently, Tram served as Managing Partner of the Law Offices of James T. Harper, Jr., LLC. There, he focused on bankruptcy law and related financial matters. Earlier in his career, he practiced with several Central Florida law firms. During that time, he gained extensive experience representing debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings.

Clients appreciate Tram’s practical approach and clear communication. They also value his ability to guide them through stressful financial situations. He understands that financial hardship can affect every aspect of a person’s life. Therefore, he works closely with clients to develop solutions tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.

Tram earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Florida. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. A proud “Double Gator,” he has remained closely connected to the university throughout his career. He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1998.

Outside of the office, Tram enjoys spending time with his wife. Together, they share a love of sailing, pirate culture, and Renaissance festivals. The couple lived aboard a sailboat for five years and frequently attends pirate and medieval events throughout Florida and beyond. He is also an avid University of Florida sports fan, a devoted Star Wars enthusiast, and a self-described Disney fan.
