With a decade of active-duty military service, extensive courtroom experience, and a strong commitment to client advocacy, Emma brings a unique perspective and skill set to individuals facing criminal charges throughout Central Florida.
A Unique Path to the Practice of Law
Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Emma did not follow the traditional path into the legal profession. After high school, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where she served on active duty for ten years. Her service included working as a UH-1N “Huey” helicopter hydraulics mechanic in a Search and Rescue unit before transitioning into a role as an intelligence specialist.
During her military career, Emma completed her bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University while on active duty and deployed to both Asia and Africa. These experiences helped shape her disciplined approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility — qualities that now guide her work as a criminal defense attorney.

Legal Education and Community Recognition
After relocating to Orlando in 2020, Emma enrolled at Barry University School of Law, where she graduated in 2023. At graduation, she received the prestigious Sister Linda Bevilacqua Award in recognition of her dedication to community service — a reflection of her ongoing passion for helping others navigate difficult circumstances.
Her education and life experience provide clients with a well-rounded advocate who understands that legal challenges often come at pivotal moments in a person’s life.

Experience as a Public Defender in the Ninth Judicial Circuit
Emma began her legal career at the Public Defender’s Office in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, representing clients throughout Orange and Osceola Counties. During her time there, she handled hundreds of cases involving felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses.
This experience allowed her to build strong litigation skills while advocating for individuals facing serious legal challenges. She understands that the criminal justice system can feel overwhelming, and she is dedicated to helping clients stay informed, calm, and confident throughout the legal process.
