Prior to attending law school, I studied German Language. It was my study abroad experience in Karlsruhe, Germany, where I had the privilege of working alongside a professor, who happened to be a transactional attorney by trade. It was his love and enthusiasm for helping others and passion for the law that inspired me to the same joy within me. Without this experience, I would have become a High School German teacher.
Working within the realm of corporate and real estate law carries a lot of weight, which can make anyone feel a little uneasy. Whether it’s a residential or commercial real estate transaction, commercial leasing, corporate formation and governance, acquisitions and dispositions, asset or stock/share purchases or sales, or structuring a business plan, each of these transactions require making big decisions. Although every case or matter is different, my approach is not; with each client I am straightforward, seek the most efficient and cost effective method to accomplish goals, and most importantly, find the best ways to make sure my client’s interests are protected.
Other than enjoying the challenging nuance that goes into each case or matter, helping people is ultimately what keeps me excited about being a corporate and real estate lawyer. The best part of my day is when I am able to provide clients who may be confused, anxious, excited or nervous find the best solutions that make them feel productive, happy and supported.
In my down time, I enjoy attending trivia night with friends, reading, upcycling antique furniture, crocheting, taking care of my puppy, refurbishing vintage luxury handbags, and because I was born and raised in Metro Detroit, cheering on the Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings whenever possible!
